William Reed

I have been making photographs for a few decades.

My favorite part about what I do is that I dont actually do this for a living.

During my “real life” I work as Head & Neck Surgery Resident. This is my actual job, like what pays my bills. I treat patients with all sorts problems ranging form Head & Neck cancer to deafness. It’s truly awesome work—I love that part of my life. It keeps me pretty busy—which is why photography is such an important part of my life. I do it because I love it.

Between my work at the hospital and…well thats about it…I have plenty of other things I could/should be doing. That’s why I told myself that I would only do photography if it was something I loved and continued to enjoy.

I enjoy travel + lifestyle photography, landscapes, and more recently I have really been pouring in portraits—be it weddings, engagements, family shoots—I truly love capturing connections.

Like I said. I promised myself I would only do assignments that I love. I think that this promise comes through in my photographs and thats why I decided to share it with you.
